Omokoroa Kiwi Holiday Park

Around Omokoroa

Walking
Take a walk around our beautiful peninsula.  You’ll wander past local residents’ gardens, the harbour and wharf front, boats moored, and get amazing views out to neighbouring islands.   Click here to download a walking map of the peninsula.

If you are lucky enough to be here in November or December you will be treated to the blossoming Pohutukawa tree – be sure to take your camera!

Kayaking

Hire a kayak from our office.  The Omokoroa Harbour offers beautiful calm waters that both young and old will enjoy paddling in, with many small bays and rocky points to explore.

A short paddle away is the Te Puna river mouth
and for a bigger challenge cross the harbour to Motuhoa Island to explore its sandy beaches.

Golfing
Just down the road, within five minutes drive is Omokoroa Golf Club and within an hour are a number of other excellent courses.  Omokoroa Golf Club is playable all year round and visitors are welcome - with six holes adjacent to the water’s edge this course is among one of the more picturesque in the Bay of Plenty.

Omokoroa Beaches
The swimming is safe and enjoyable in and around Omokoroa harbour.

Children’s Play area
As well as our own playground, there is a very big play area down at the waterfront reserve with swings, a jungle gym, and old tractors to climb on.
